During the 2013 Lutefestival of the Utrecht Early Music Festival.

The programme features lute songs and solos by J. Dowland, R. Jones, J. van den Hove, N. Vallet and R. Johnson.

During the Dutch Revolt, English songs travelled to the Low Countries and were set to Dutch text. Their ‘new’ settings were in most cases quite different and promise an interesting and unusual reading of some of the most well-known English ayres.
