CANCELLED. 18 September 2020, at 20:30. With Ensemble Diverse & Bizarre at the National Observatory of Athens.
Georg Philipp Telemann is probably the most prolific composer in history and undoubtedly an inexhaustible source of Chamber Music. Among the thousand works he composed, collections such as: Musique de Table, Der harmonische Gottesdienst, Quadri & Nouveaux Quatuors and 6 Moralishe Kantaten stand out.
Ensemble Diverse and Bizarre and countertenor Mattias Pavlous intend to highlight compositions which are natural in melody, bold in harmonies, lively in rhythm, and beautifully orchestrated. Profound or witty, serious, or light, Telemann’s works never lacked quality or variety.
